Grandmom's thoughts

Well, our shortened Camp G-mom is about over. The Cedar Park Crones have gone home. The Cedar Creek Crone boys will spend one more night in the camper. Tomorrow we will run some errands and clean up some.
Each year brings many blessings. Watching these cousins bond and grow up together, make memories together, and have fun together is a special treat for me. This has been our 7th Camp Grandmom. I love having them here.
But as Teresa said, "Your house is a mess!" Time to clean up tomorrow while I review some of the great times we had.

Parrting is such sweet sorrow!

Today, alas, is our last day.( we will allow a few seconds for sobbing) Uncle Rob has just arrived. He will stay for dinner and then off go the cousins. This morning the girls stayed in bed late. (like 9 0'clock. Wow!) After we awoke we created pictures and notes to send to Great-Gramma Crone. Thereafter, we had a watermelon seed-spitin' contest.Or as I just incorrectly said "speed sittin' "
Claire won with a whopping 23feet 7 inches. Malachi topped it off however in the "Free-spit" round with 33feet 5inches. Later we watched Tom and Jerry, and the Jetsons. As the TV turned off we all gathered around the table to eat a jumble of leftovers. I happened to eat Goulash mixed with Cowboy beans mixed cheese with ketchup mixed with chopped up hot dogs. Delicious! We tried out Asher's newest game Scrabble Slam. We discovered it to be exeedingly entertaining. We played at least 5 rounds along with more Clue and Uno. I MUST leave you!

Movie Review

Last night we watched Fantasia. We had homemade popcorn (yum! yum!). We all had our favorites. During the dinosaurs, Claire got thirsty because the dinos couldn't find any water. We were all about asleep before it ended. This morning we had to vacumm 'cause there was popcorn all over the floor.

Museum reveiw

Yesterday I had the advantage to take a self guided tour of the Texas Memorial Museum. As I arrived I was greeted by the man at the front desk. Up in the first room I saw many gems, dead beetles (gross), and skeletons of dinosars and animals. In the bottom story, wich was under the ground,There were all sorts of dinosar bones. I regret to say but it was extrodinarily easy to tell the real and fake ones apart. Over all it was very good and the blue light that gave off the impression that there was water around the sea dino was very convincing. On the third floor it was all about Texas wildlife. I saw many exibits full of stuffed, but definatly realistic animals. To name a few, we saw snakes, dear, bison, cougars, andfoxes. I would deffinatly like to put a good word in for their night creatures exibit. The tempeture was even cool like it normaly is in the darker time of day. The forth floor was filled with exibit that consisted of things from Darwin's therory to ants to HIV to pond scum. Soon after I visited the gift shop only to find my self quoosling with puppet monkeys, shiny rocks and small bottles of "real" gold, silver, and copper. Over all I found the experiance exeedingly fun and educational. Sighning Out.
Sincerly Yours,
She Eagle (and to my friends Jush)
